Copperleaf and the B.C. Government Win the 2017 Adoption of Technology Award

On June 22nd, the Copperleaf team and members of the B.C. Government’s Information Management / Information Technology (IM/IT) Capital Investment Branch attended the 24th annual Technology Impact Awards (TIAs). As you can see from this photo, we had a blast, and were absolutely thrilled to take home the 2017 Adoption of Technology Award!

Founded in 1994 by the BC Tech Association, the TIAs celebrate the successes of the tech industry, companies, people, and innovation that continue to put British Columbia on the map. The awards honor companies in ten categories, divided amongst three distinct groups: Technology, Company and Personal Recognition.

The Adoption of Technology award is the only award that celebrates not one, but two, companies—a BC-based technology supplier and their BC-based customer—and recognizes a solution that has significantly improved the productivity, competitiveness, or profitability of the customer’s organization.

Phil Jones, Copperleaf’s VP Sales (right) and Corinne Timmermann, Executive Director, IM/IT Capital Investment Branch for the B.C. Government (centre), accept awards from John Longbottom of IBM, a TIA Award Sponsor.

This award is a huge honor for us because it recognizes the fantastic collaboration between the B.C. Government and Copperleaf teams, and the hard work that went into implementing a solution to help the government plan, manage and optimize their IM/IT investments more strategically.

It also confirmed the impact of our solution:  C55 helped to streamline the government’s investment planning process, align new investment proposals to government priorities, and model scenarios to determine the projects that would generate the highest value for money.

Phil Jones, Copperleaf’s VP of Sales, accepted the award alongside Corinne Timmermann, Executive Director of the IM/IT Capital Investment Branch for the B.C. Government. In his acceptance speech, Phil Jones commented:

The Government just blows me away in their commitment to improving how they deliver value to the citizens of B.C. It’s an honor to share this award.

We’re proud to be part of BC’s vibrant technology industry, and winning a TIA for the second year in a row is truly a testament to our unique culture, which drives us to deliver exceptional value to clients and to continuously improve!

Congratulations to all of the other finalists and winners! The complete list of the 2017 TIA winners is available here, and photos from the event can be found on the BC Tech Association’s Facebook page.
