"Sunshine, beach days and city tours through majestic Malaga, Spain" sounds like a dream holiday, but for the Copperleaf Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team, it describes our third quarter ‘Extended Team’ Summer Event earlier this year.
We have a large team spread across Europe and the Middle East, and the summer event is a chance for us to take a step away from our day-to-day work, build team morale, and learn from each other’s experiences. We get together as a team once every quarter, but the summer event is special as the invitation also includes partners and families — the ‘extended team’ who support and encourage our hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Beautiful central Malaga was chosen as this year’s destination. While our families enjoyed prearranged activities and leisure time at the beach, the Copperleaf team came together for the day’s meetings and presentations which focused on sharing success stories, coaching, and taking part in strategic goal setting.
Another vital part of this annual meeting is our culture sessions. Culture is at the heart of everything we do at Copperleaf, and it is through this strong focus on building our culture that we cultivate an atmosphere of support and encouragement, where everyone has a voice regardless of hierarchy, and where we encourage each other to create game-changing solutions while still having fun.
We serve a sophisticated market and often have to face new challenges and do so with innovative solutions and ground-breaking thinking,” said Zena Tulemat, Copperleaf Implementation Consultant, based in Germany. “Our team members are all highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields, and everyone is so willing to help each other and share their experience. It is a great environment if career development is important to you.”
After the final presentation of the day, our team, joined by our families, enjoyed dinner together. While our EMEA team works remotely, we believe it's important to nurture a feeling of family, get to know each other personally, and make sure everyone feels like they belong.
Over the next couple of days, Copperleaf treated everyone to fun day at the beach for some sunbathing and beach football, a trip to the Pompidou Centre and Picasso Museum, culture-rich walking tours in the heart of Malaga, and the spectacular Flamenco show at Peña Juan Breva.
Returning home, happy and well-rested, we look forward to charging into the new year with renewed enthusiasm and tackling new challenges and creating innovative solutions for our clients!
Copperleaf is always looking for more talented people to join our team! Check out our current job openings here.
