Copperleaf Decision Analytics Goes Live at Chubu Electric Power Grid

Vancouver, BC, December 1, 2020—The Copperleaf® Decision Analytics solution is now live at Chubu Electric Power Grid Company, Incorporated’s Distribution Line of Business. Chubu Electric Power Grid is one of the largest electric transmission and distribution companies in Japan. The Copperleaf solution was selected to help the company drive consistency and transparency in its distribution network, asset investment planning and management processes, and support its commitment to providing customers with safe and reliable energy.

Copperleaf partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) on the implementation. According to Masaaki Arimoto, General Manager of MELCO’s Energy Systems Center, Power System Design Department, “Since the 2000s, we have been in charge of developing and improving the information systems that manage the vast amount of distribution assets owned by Chubu Electric Power Grid. This time, together with Copperleaf’s solution, we have delivered the first “Long-Term Planning System” in Japan. We will continue to contribute to the planning and execution of highly transparent and optimal investment plans.”
