Copperleaf’s RAD Initiative Serves Up Victory at TechPong 2017

Being kind to each other and creating a winning spirit through teamwork are core components of Copperleaf’s culture. It’s no wonder that our Random Acts of Delight (RAD) initiative has taken off! The RAD program gives team members the chance to come together and give back by supporting causes that are close to our hearts.

This fall, the RAD program continued our spectacular summer fundraising by participating in TechPong. TechPong brings together Vancouver tech companies every year to face off in an epic ping pong battle. Each company pledges to raise a minimum of $2,000 and competes to win prize money to support their chosen charity. We chose to once again raise money for the BC SPCA to help fund animal shelters, hospitals, and clinics, cruelty prevention programs, and more.

Our ping pong heroes this year included Rippu Gupta, Arthur Lee, and James Ensom. We had a blast cheering them on at the Telus World of Science, where they played hard and did us proud. Rippu smashed through the competition and was crowned the TechPong Singles Champion!

Through a delicious bake sale, generous donations, and Copperleaf’s matching program, we were able to raise $2,400 for the BC SPCA. Overall, Techpong raised over $67,000 for local charities, making it a huge success!

Stay tuned – we’re planning to finish 2017 strong with some great winter RAD activities!
