Amos Michelson Elected Chairman of the Board for Copperleaf Technologies

Vancouver, BC, July 5, 2017—Copperleaf announces the appointment of Amos Michelson as its Chairman of the Board effective immediately. Mr. Michelson succeeds Pascal Spothelfer, who has served as chair since 2007.

“As a board, we welcome Amos as the new chairman, and thank Pascal for his long years of service to the company,” said Judi Hess, CEO of Copperleaf. “The strong leadership that he will bring to the company is ideal as we continue to grow and scale the company globally.”

Mr. Michelson brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the Chairman position. He is actively involved in the high tech community in Vancouver and around the world, serving on a number of boards. He was CEO of Creo Inc. and a member of the board from 1991 until Kodak purchased Creo for over C$1 Billion in May 2005. Prior to Creo, he was CEO of Opal Inc., a semi-conductor equipment company, and Chief Operating Officer of Optrotech Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of optical and imaging systems for the electronics industry.

Amos Michelson holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He is a past member of the Premier’s Technology Council and in 1999 was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young. In 2005, Mr. Michelson was named the “BCTIA Person of the Year”, an award presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the technology industry during the year.
