Copperleaf Announces Version 8 of its C55 Asset Investment Planning & Management Software

Vancouver, BC, September 4, 2014—C55 is Copperleaf’s enterprise software solution for Asset Investment Planning and Management (AIPM). The software provides analytics, decision support, and reporting to support asset investment planning and budgeting given multiple financial and resource constraints, performance obligations and risk tolerances. Version 8 includes a number of enhancements to enable smarter, risk-informed business decisions.

State-of-the-art, high-speed optimization for investment projects and programs
C55’s sophisticated optimization engine allows organizations to quickly analyze large portfolios of investments and select the set of investments and timing that deliver maximize value to the organization. Version 8 introduces several new options that provide greater flexibility and control, including the ability to optimize to avoid unacceptable risk levels and across capital (CAPEX) and/or operational expenditures (OPEX).

In addition to investment projects, C55 is also unique in its ability to model investment programs—ongoing, repeating activities such as the continuous replacement, refurbishment, or maintenance of assets in a population. Multiple program levels, consisting of accomplishments, costs and risks can be compared to determine the optimal program levels to fund.

Customizable dashboards enable visualization of asset, investment and portfolio data
New, interactive dashboards allow C55 users to visually and interactively explore real-time data to uncover business insights. Web-based dashboards that are built independently using external Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools can now be accessed directly from within the C55 application, providing visualization of data to assist in making asset investment decisions. C55 users can create and customize dashboards for a high level view of complex data sets to expose trends and outliers, and drill down into more detail as required.
