Vancouver, BC, April 23, 2019—Copperleaf™ announces the selection of the Copperleaf C55™ Decision Analytics solution by National Grid Electricity Transmission, part of National Grid, one of the world’s largest investor-owned energy companies.
National Grid Electricity Transmission owns the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales in the UK. It will use C55 for Portfolio Optimisation (PO), Asset Investment Planning (AIP) and Circuit Optimisation (CO). C55 was selected following a competitive RFP process and follows a similar selection of C55 by National Grid’s UK Gas Transmission business.
“Copperleaf will further strengthen how we prioritise our work, taking into account current and future constraints, while ensuring we meet the needs of our many stakeholders” said Bradley Kent , National Planning Manager at National Grid Electricity Transmission.
“Copperleaf began working with National Grid in the United States back in 2016, so it’s really exciting to be able to extend that partnership to their UK Gas Transmission and Electricity Transmission businesses.” commented Judi Hess, Copperleaf CEO. “This demonstrates their confidence in the proven value that C55 brings to their organisation and customers.”
“We are partnering with National Grid to implement C55 core functionality focused on asset risk modeling, asset intervention planning and project portfolio optimisation as well as develop an exciting new circuit optimisation capability to bundle replacement, refurbishment and maintenance interventions and minimise circuit outage requirements.” added Stefan Sadnicki, Managing Director, Europe for Copperleaf.
