Vancouver, BC, June 18 2014—Copperleaf hosted its annual user group meeting, bringing clients and partners from around the globe together to discuss Asset Investment Planning and Management (AIPM) and the future directions for Copperleaf’s C55 solution. Hosted in Vancouver, BC from May 13-15, Copperleaf led educational sessions and roundtable discussions on a variety of topics, beginning with a keynote “State of the Nation” address by Judi Hess, CEO of Copperleaf, followed by interactive discussions on new features, the future roadmap, the new ISO 55000 standard, and more.
According to Copperleaf’s Chief Marketing Officer, Boudewijn Neijens, “Ultimately, the goal of this meeting is to create an open forum to allow all of us—C55 users and Copperleaf team members and partners—to exchange information, learn from each other, and thereby become more successful in our respective businesses. We were very pleased with the level of interaction at this meeting and really hope our customers were able to walk away with new ideas about how to gain more value from their investment in C55.”
According to attendee Kathleen McCorriston, Investment Manager at Hydro One, “We’re looking to upgrade to the next version of C55 and this meeting provided me with a great opportunity to understand the new features that are coming and how they will benefit Hydro One. It was also a great opportunity to meet with other people that work in the asset investment planning area to understand how they use C55 and how we could use it differently than we are today.”
Nick Read, Manager of Asset Planning at Manitoba Hydro, added, “This is the third Copperleaf user group meeting I’ve attended. There are people from all different types of business—transmission, generation, gas, etc. I like to learn what other types of businesses are doing for long-term capital planning and see if there’s any low hanging fruit that I can bring back to Manitoba Hydro and implement in our programs.”
Vancouver-based Copperleaf helps asset intensive organizations rethink the traditional approach to capital planning, asset life cycle planning, and budgeting. We pioneered C55 to help organizations integrate planning, analysis, approval, and execution so that they can make asset investment decisions that are effective, transparent, and focused on the long term performance of the organization. Since 2000, we have been empowering utilities and other asset intensive organizations to make decisions with greater confidence.
