Copperleaf Wins 2016 BCTIA Emerging Company of the Year Award

2016TIAs_Winners_150x150Vancouver, BC, June 8, 2016—Copperleaf Technologies has been named the 2016 Emerging Company of the Year by the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA). The Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) honor companies in nine categories, divided amongst three distinct groups: Technology, Company and Personal Recognition. The Emerging Company TIA focuses on a company’s excellence in growth, innovation, market opportunity and leadership.

“It has been yet another break-through year for the tech industry in BC,” said BC Tech President and CEO, Bill Tam. “Capitalizing on our rich history in data analytics and cloud computing, companies like Global Relay and Copperleaf exemplify the growing number of anchor tech companies that call British Columbia home,” Tam added. “The 2016 TIAs finalists and winners all demonstrate the vast potential for BC Tech and our opportunity to be among the leading tech ecosystems on a global scale.”

“I am thrilled Copperleaf won the Emerging Company of the Year award,” said Judi Hess, CEO of Copperleaf. “It was truly an honor to be selected, especially given the caliber of the other finalists, and to be recognized as a leader in the BC tech industry. It’s a testament to the ongoing commitment and hard work of the entire Copperleaf team.”

Founded in 1994 by the BCTIA, the TIAs celebrate the successes of BC’s tech industry and the companies, people and innovation that continue to put British Columbia on the map.

Winners were announced June 7, 2016 at the 23rd annual TIA gala event. The complete list of winners is available here.
